Long-Term Decentralization Roadmap
Our roadmap targets full decentralization by 2036 — a milestone we pursue with care, not haste. If global conditions, legal frameworks, or infrastructure readiness demand more time, we will adjust accordingly — always in the interest of transparency and responsible stewardship.
Early Stages (2026-2028)
Laying the Foundation for Innovation
In the early years, Aquara’s main focus will be on building a strong base for the future. We’ll set up the core structure, grow the community, and start testing early governance ideas. During this time, holders can join in by giving feedback and voting in non-binding polls that help shape where Aquara is headed.
As we move forward, we’ll introduce the first DAO voting features, giving the community a real say in important decisions. This phase is all about creating trust, communication, and teamwork. By 2028, we plan to launch these early DAO features, taking the first big step toward full community ownership.
Mid Stages (2029-2031)
Building the Path to Decentralized Empowerment
As we move into the mid stages, Aquara will focus on giving the community more control. We’ll set up DAO councils—groups run by holders—that manage important areas like water reserves, sustainability, and treasury decisions.
By 2031, these councils will take over all major governance decisions, making sure Aquara’s future is shaped by the community, not a central authority.
During this time, holders will be able to propose new ideas, vote on key issues, and help guide the direction of the project. This phase is all about building a stronger, fully decentralized ecosystem where every voice matters.
Late Stages (2032-2036)
The Dawn of Full Decentralization
In the final stages, Aquara will complete its transition into a fully decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). By this time, all decisions—about water reserves, sustainability projects, and future innovations—will be made entirely by the community through councils and token holder votes.
This phase is where true collective ownership begins. The community will fully run and shape the Aquara ecosystem, with transparency, collaboration, and innovation at its core.
Aquara’s original mission—to give people ownership and a voice in managing water resources—will become a lasting reality.
